Harold Walker, Jr.

Harold Walker, Jr was born on September 12, 1957 in Anderson, SC to the late Harold Walker, Sr. and the late Claudine W. Walker.  He was preceded in death by his wife of 45 years, Mrs. Barbara Donald Walker.

Harold was a graduate of Westside High School where he excelled at football.  He earned an associate's degree in business from Tri-County Technical College.  He was employed at Owens Corning and retired after 38 years of service.

He was a faithful member of Strait Christian Church in Belton, SC, and served as a deacon and a member of the Board of Directors for many years.

Harold enjoyed fishing, gardening and spending time with his grandchildren.  He and his wife, Barbara, were known for their hospitality and generosity towards others.

He leaves to cherish his memory: two sons,  Harold (LaMarie) Walker, III of Charlotte, NC and Brian (Amy) Walker of Anderson, SC, a granddaughter, Kaylee Marie Walker of Charlotte, NC, a grandson, Brandon Harold Ezra Walker of Anderson, SC, a sister, Claudia (Joseph) Thomas of Maryland, a brother, Gary (Texann) Williams of Anderson, SC, a sister-in-law, Frances Sebuabey of Charlotte, NC and a brother-in-law, Rev. Johnny (Billie) Donald who was also his pastor.   He was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Strait Christian Church.  The interment will follow at New Silverbrook Cemetery.  Public viewing Friday from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
