Gloria Uwaifo Obituary

Gloria Jean Watt Uwaifo was born in Abbeville, SC, on November 1, 1957.  She passed on September 16, 2024.  She is the daughter of the late Miles Watt, Sr. and Emma Lucia Scott Watt.

Gloria was raised up in church at Flat Rock A.M.E.  She later moved her membership to Beulah Missionary Baptist Church in Decatur, GA.

Gloria was preceded in death by her dad, Miles Watt, Sr., her mother, Emma Lucia Scott Watt, and two brothers, Jamie Lee Watt and Jerome L. Watt.

Gloria is survived by her husband, Anthony Uwaifo; two sisters, Carolyn Evans (Frank) of Greenwood, SC and Debra Chiles (Arthur) of Ellerslie, GA; three brothers, Miles Watt of Atlanta, GA, Robert Calvin Watt (Dora) of Belton, SC, Joe Allen Watt (Yolanda) of Stone Mountain, GA; four godchildren, Quan Evans, T.J. Chiles, Jamaal Pettway, and Kimbella West (Bella Poo); five sisters-in-law, Iyabo Uaifo Aideloje, Bose Ojewia (Nee Uaifo),  Anna Uaifo, Esther Uaifo, and Grace Uaifo; one brother-in-law, Clement Uaifo; and a host of nieces, nephews, close friends, and relatives.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 24, 2024 at Oakbrook Memorial Park in (Hodges/Greenwood, SC).  Public viewing will be held on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
