Mrs. Gloria Gail (Chamblee) Greenlee, born October 27, 1952, the oldest daughter of the late Claude Dean and Addie Mae Pringle Chamblee, took her rest on Friday, January 3, 2025, at her home.
Gloria graduated from Westside High School and attended Tri-County Technical College. She worked at Anderson Memorial Hospital and Richard Campell Nursing Home and retired from the Anderson County Disability Board. Gloria took great pride in cooking big meals and baking cakes. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Gloria leaves to cherish beautiful memories, her husband Kenneth Dixon Greenlee of 50 years; one son, Kendrick Terell Greenlee (Brandy); twelve grandchildren, Adarrius (Diamond) Smalls, Courtney Chamblee, Kahyri Greenlee, Marissa Chamblee, Octavia Carson, Jasmine Carson, Kaishan Gray, Dayquan Carson, Marqui Grant, Quayvon Lewis, Adrian Lewis, and Devon Lewis; one great-granddaughter, Kamyah Greenlee; her siblings are Ronald Chamblee, Beverly Morris (Larry) both of Anderson, SC, Johnny Chamblee (Pam) of Marina, CA, and Jerome Chamblee (Valencia) of Mauldin, SC; brother-in-law, Larry Greenlee of Anderson, SC; and sisters-in-law, Betty E. Greenlee of Anderson, Harriet F. Johnson (Christopher) of Greenville, SC, and Betty T. Greenlee of Honea Path, SC. Gloria also leaves fond and cherished moments to an array of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Rodney Dean Chamblee; sisters-in-law, Virgina Chamblee, Shirley Heatherley, and Cora Anderson; and brothers-in-law, Billy Greenlee, George Greenlee, Jr., Don Greenlee, and Claude Greenlee.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, 2025 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. The interment will follow at New Silver Brook Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Wednesday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.
