Geraldine "NeNa Bug" Harrison

Geraldine Jeanette Harrison was born December 13, 1958 to John Frank Harrison and Mary Burriss Harrison.  Geraldine is now in heaven enjoying the birthdays of her sisters Bonnie (July 2nd) and Mildred (July 11th).  She joined them on June 27, 2024.  We know they are happy being with the almighty God.

At an early age, Geraldine became a member of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. She was educated at Jefferson Elementary, McCants Junior High Schools in Anderson, SC and graduated high school in Dallas, Texas.  After returning to Anderson, SC, Geraldine worked for many years at Spring Industrial and Clark-Schwebel.  She later worked with No Place Like Home before retiring.

Geraldine, known as Nena Bug to her family and friends, thought she was the best singer and dancer in town.  If she couldn't beat you dancing, she would sure beat you playing bingo.  Nena Bug loved to cook-out and travel with her family and friends.  Her last trip was to Las Vegas, Nevada.

Nena Bug was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, auntie, cousin and friend.  She leaves to mourn a son and daughter-in-law,, Jonnewell K. Bowman and Shante Bowman; her sister, Janie H. Martin; a loving friend, Melvin Webb; six loving grandchildren; one great grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Mary Harrison; her son, Antonio Andre Harrison; three sisters, Mildred H. Donaldson, Ruby Starks, and Bonnie Carter; and one brother, John L. Harrison.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, 2024 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. The Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Public viewing Friday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
