Georgia Christine Brown

Ms. Georgia Christine Brown was born in Calhoun Falls, South Carolina on December 7, 1954, to the late Ernest Brown and Nancy Marie Davis. She was reared in the home of her uncle and aunt, Samuel A. Brown, and Mary Lou Brown.

Georgia joined Mt. Olive Church of God Holiness at an early age. She graduated in 1974 from Calhoun Falls High School and retired from Rocky River Plant.

Georgia will be dearly missed by her sisters, Mary L. Davis, Cora B. Tillman and Sarah A. Harper (James) all of Calhoun Falls, SC; brothers, William E. Davis of Calhoun Falls, SC, Calvin Davis of Greensboro, NC, and John L. Allen of McDonough, GA; a cousin reared in the home, Derlene Brown Wilson (Kevin) of Upper Marlboro, MD; two aunts, Isabella Prather of Washington, DC and Nanita Davis of Bronx, NY; a devoted nephew, Edward E. Wright II of Abbeville, SC; goddaughter, Tierra Wilson, a special cousin, Anna Moss-Davis (G.L.); sister-in-law, Ann Brown; brothers-in-law, James Harper, Edward E. Wright, Frank Wilson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was also preceded in death by three sisters, Lillie Brown Wilson, Bertha Davis Wright, and Mary Helen Bryant; three brothers, John A. Brown, Ernest Brown, Jr., and Dennis J. Davis; one sister-in-law, Lorie Allen; and one brother-in-law, James Tillman.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home - Calhoun Falls.  The interment will follow at Golden Hill Cemetery.  Public viewing will be held Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home - Calhoun Falls.
