Mr. Fred Henry Glenn, Jr., age 77, was called to eternal rest on August 12, 2024. We come to honor and celebrate his life today. Fred was born on August 7, 1947 to the late Mr. Fred Henry and Mrs. Mae Frances Glenn, Sr.
Master Sergeant, Fred H. Glenn, Jr. retired from the United States Air Force. He served as a Turboprop Propulsion Mechanic and an electrician for twenty-one years. He later began a career with Time Warner Broadcasting and worked for fifteen years before retiring. Master Sergeant Glenn's father was one of the charter members of the VFW Post 6089 Rucker Hall.
He leaves to honor and cherish his memory, his loving wife, Arah Latimer Glenn; from this union, he leaves behind two children, John Lewis Glenn (Connie) and Karen Juanita Glenn; five grandchildren, Justin, Kelaiah, Shikeia, Michael, and Royricus; and four great-grandchildren, JRu, Kaleb, Kamri, and Kyree. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred Henry and Mae Frances Glenn, Sr.; and one sister, Lillian Gaines.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, August 19, 2024 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The interment will be held on Monday, August 26, 2024 at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.
