Frank Fant

Mr. Frank Fant was born in Anderson County, South Carolina on September 25, 1946.  He passed away on June 1, 2025.

Frank was a member of Mt. Herman Baptist Church.  He graduated as Valedictorian in 1964 from New Deal High School.  He retired from BASF and later worked for the Anderson County Sheriff's Department.  He was a member of Men at Work and enjoyed playing golf and bowling in his spare time.

He will be dearly missed by his wife, Floride Fant; daughter, Rona D. Overton; sons, Sheldon B. (Dr. Annie, LTC) Fant, Sr. and Wendell F. (Jennifer) Fant; mother-in-law, Hattie Estelle Williams; five grandchildren, Wesley (Caitlyn) Overton, Dexter Fant, Sheldon (Laterika) Fant, Jr., Alexander Fant, and Donovan Fant; nine great-grandchildren; his aunt and uncle, Betty Ruth Hardy and Hubert Harrison; and a host of in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elinner and Willie Frank Fant and his brother, Bobby Fant.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 7, 2025 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Mt. Herman Baptist Church.  Public viewing will be held Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
