Mr. Eugene V. Miller, son of Alberta V. Miller and the late Perrin Miller, was born in Abbeville S.C. on September 12th, 1957. He departed this earthly life on Monday July 29th, 2024.
Eugene was educated at Dixie High School in Due-West S.C. He was a valued member of his community and served as Chairman of the trustee board at St. Mary Baptist Church for several years. He was employed at Brooklyn Friends School in Brooklyn, N.Y. until September 2000. Afterward, he worked at Kraft Food Manufactory.
Eugene was married to Yolonda Kennedy of Brooklyn, N.Y. From this union, four children were born. Eugene was an avid basketball player and enjoyed socializing with family and friends.
He leaves to cherish fond memories to his children, Antonio Hodges of Charlotte, N.C., Tavara Watson of Anderson, S.C., Aysha Williams of New York, N.Y., Keia Thompson of Atlanta, G.A, Christina Miller Adams (her husband Michael Adams) of New York, N.Y., Christopher Miller of New York, N.Y., and Mariah Miller of Donalds, S.C. Eugene also leaves to cherish fond memories to his grandchildren, Luke Hodges, Kylynn Hodges, Renji Watson, Jayla Watson, Shirdell Watson, Mikel Beeks, Dakota Watson, Zaire Williams, Angelo Williams, Douglas Williams, Michael Adams Miller, and Christina Adams Miller; his mother, Alberta V. Miller; two siblings, Margaret Johnson (Sam Smith) of Due West, S.C., and Perryn Miller (Laurant Jolly) of Lanham, MD; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Yolanda Kennedy Miller; one son, Corey Miller, his father, Perrin Miller, Sr. and one sister, Zenobia Miller.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at St. Mary Baptist Church in Due West. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing Friday from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
