Ethel Mae (Poole) Rainey

Mrs. Ethel Mae Poole Rainey, 75, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, June 17, 2021.

She is survived by her four daughters, Sharon Rainey, Beverly Rainey, Denise Rainey, and Lenise Rainey; three sons, Anthony "Tony" Rainey, Terry Rainey, and Brian Rainey; two sisters, Mary L. Poole Mattress and Doris J. Poole Reed; two brothers, J.B. Poole, Jr. and Charles R. Poole; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Rainey, Jr.; parents, J.B. Poole, Sr. and Ethel Goss Poole; one son, Tyrone Rainey; one sister, Emma Lean Poole; and two brothers, Leroy Durham and Bennie Alvin Poole.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 23, 2021 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery.  Public viewing Tuesday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.  At the request of the family, if you plan to attend the service, please wear a mask.  Limited seating will be available for guests.  Your cooperation is greatly appreciated and we thank you in advance.
