Elizabeth Rucker Obituary

Ms. Elizabeth Carter Rucker was born in Anderson County, South Carolina on May 27, 1935. She departed this life on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Moses Cone Hospital in Greensboro, North Carolina.

Elizabeth was the daughter of the late Sylvia Carter Brown. She was the only child born to Sylvia. Even though she didn't have any children, she dearly loved all of her family. Her kindness will be dearly missed, especially by her favorite uncle, Willie James Carter, whom she was visiting when she fell ill in North Carolina.

Elizabeth wouldn't want us to grieve, because to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.

The graveside service will be held 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 28, 2022 at Springfield Baptist Church Cemetery in Calhoun Falls, SC. Public viewing will be held on Sunday from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
