Egerton "Keith" Angus

On January 9, 2022, Egerton "Keith" Angus passed away at the age of 89 years old. He was born in Oxford, in the beautiful Parish of St. Mary, Jamaica West Indies, to Nehemiah Angus and Leonora King. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, one son, Granville and four brothers.
 
Egerton was affectionately called “Papa, pops” by his children and “Uncle Keith” by his relatives and close friends. He leaves to mourn, Catherine and eight children who loved him dearly: four sons, Barrington, Michael, Radcliffe (Ann-Marie), and Patrick (Arline); four daughters, Marjorie, Camellia, (James), Sheron (Norman), and Karline; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; one brother, Eric and one sister, Joyce.
 
Pops attended school in the parish of St. Mary, Jamaica West Indies. He left home at a young age to pursue a trade in carpentry, instead he became a Letterhead Printer at the United Printing Office and continued his printing career at the Government Printing Office, Kingston, Jamaica. Egerton migrated to the United States where he started a career in health care and became a Patient Transporter at Stamford Health Hospital and a Certified Nurse Aide upon graduation from The Norwalk Community Technical College. Papa was known as the Singing Evangelist at the Stamford Hospital during his tenure of employment.
 
Pops was an active member of The Harbour View Seventh-day Adventist Church in St Andrew, Jamaica and served as deacon and choir member. He later served at the Norwalk Seventh-day Adventist Church and The Stamford Mission in Stamford Connecticut.
 
Egerton will be missed by his entire family and friends, some of whom will gather at the Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home, on January 27, 2022 at 11:00 am to celebrate his life and to say goodbye.  The funeral service will begin at noon.
