Edith A. (Peterson) Geer

Mrs. Edith A. Geer of Johnathan's Joy Circle in Anderson, SC, departed this life on December 25, 2024.  She was born August 19, 1940 and was the eldest daughter of Henry S. and Leola Agnew Peterson. She was married to the late Charles Geer.

She graduated from Geer Gantt High School and was a faithful member of Welfare Baptist Church until her health declined.  She continued to study at home; sometimes the neighbors would come and study with her.  She loved reading her Bible every day and listening to gospel music.  Edith loved her job of taking care of others and patients.  She worked at NHC for 23 years before retiring from her calling.

She is survived by one son, Gregory Peterson of Anderson, SC; two sisters, Linda Miller of Anderson, SC and Zella Hall of Columbia, SC; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and so many loving friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry C. Peterson and Willie Paul Peterson.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at Welfare Baptist Church.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing on Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
