We celebrate the incredible life of Eddy Bernard Lee, who peacefully passed away on June 12, 2026.
Born on January 22, 1964, in Anderson, South Carolina, Eddy lived a life of freedom and joy. He was straightforward, genuine, and one of a kind. His greatest joy was gathering with friends and family, a place where stories were shared and memories were made.
Above all, Eddy lived fully. He taught those around him the meaning of individualism, autonomy, and love. His free spirit will remain in our hearts forever.
Eddy is survived by his twelve children; his father; three siblings, Florence Lee, Kendall Harkness, and Alex Taylor of Great Neck, NY; his great-aunt, Mildred Goss of Hartwell, Georgia; and his aunts and uncles: Terrell Morrison of Hartwell, Georgia, Gail Boyd of Atlanta, Georgia, Wanda J. Morrison of Hartwell, Georgia, and Cathy Jones of Anderson, SC. He is also survived by eighteen grandchildren and countless friends who became family.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Terry Ann Basnight and his aunt, Betty Jean Lee Davis.
All who loved Eddy are invited to join the family for a Celebration of Life service at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 19, 2026 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. The family is currently receiving visitors at the home of his daughter, Aerylle Curry.
Though we mourn his passing, we celebrate the legacy he leaves behind. A life well-lived and well-loved. Rest peacefully, Eddy. You will always be remembered.
