Dorothy Louise (Price) Bozeman

Mrs. Dorothy Bozeman, 86, of 300 Hillcrest Circle in Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, March 21, 2023 at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House. 

Dorothy Louise Bozeman was born on July 12, 1936 to Luella Brown Price and Thurman Price.  Louise married the love of her life Louis Bozeman Jr. on March 5, 1954 and together they raised nine children on Hillcrest Circle, where they were one of the first residents in the community.  Louise loved to cook and enjoyed sharing her meals with family and friends.  For many years she was a devoted employee of the Vandiver’s and Greene’s, so much so, that she become a part of their families. One of her favorite pastimes was thrift shopping all day with family.  Louise was a faithful member of Asbury Memorial Baptist Church for many years.  

Louise leaves to mourn her sons, Robert Price, Jerry Bozeman, Jameson (Cynthia) Bozeman; daughters, Patricia Clayburn, Debra Larry) Debose, Lynne Bozeman; brothers, William (Sharon) Patterson, Lonnie Ray Patterson, Jimmy Price, Oscar Price; sisters, Patricia Reed, Gracie Baker, Sybil Webb, Loretta (Theo) Patterson-Johnson; along with fourteen grandkids, seventeen great-grandkids and three great great-grandsons.  She also leaves to mourn a host of nieces, nephews, and other loving relatives.

Louise is preceded in death by her husband, Louis Bozeman Jr; sons, Randy Bozeman and Derrick Bozeman; daughter, Blanche Clayburn; brothers, James Walter Patterson and Robbie Price; sisters Lula Mae Kennedy, Jeanette Edwards, Annie Ree Price, Carrie Simmons; and one grandson Lahani Bozeman.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Asbury Memorial Baptist Church. The Interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
