Mr. Donnie Ray Norman was born in Abbeville County, South Carolina on November 25, 1958 to Thomas J. and Mary Tate Norman. He passed away on February 12, 2025.
Donnie graduated from McDuffie High School in 1977. After high school, he joined the United States Army. Donnie has always been a hard worker. He worked for many years in various manufacturing companies in Anderson. He retired from First Quality after over 10 years of service. He loved riding motorcycles and classic cars, especially his yellow 1969 Plymouth Road Runner. Donnie was very quiet and reserved. He would often go to the Duck Pond to enjoy the peace and tranquility of nature.
Donnie's memory will never be forgotten. He will forever be remembered by his wife, Annie Lois Payton Norman; his two daughters, Trinity Norman and Keaundrea Jones; one son, Jamario (Temeka) Payton; his sister, Rancesine Norman (Lawrence) Scott; two grandchildren, Riley and Karsyn Smith; mother-in-law, Annie Lois Payton; three sisters-in-law, Barbara Norman, Carol Payton, and Robyn (Andre) Dawson; brother-in-law, Jermaine Payton; and a host of relatives and close friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Dominique L. Norman; one brother, Grady Norman; and his nephew, Steadman Pickens.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held Sunday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the home and the home of his sister, Rancesine Norman Scott, 430 S. Jefferson Ave., Anderson, SC.
