Destiny Dominique Latimer

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Destiny Dominique Latimer on December 30, 2024 at the age of 39. She passed away peacefully at Anmed Hospital, surrounded by loved ones.

Destiny Dominique Latimer, known to her loved ones as Dee Dee, was born on December 04, 1985, in Anderson, South Carolina, to Pamela Denise Latimer and Billy Davis. She grew up in Norfolk, Virginia, and graduated from Maury High School. She also earned her Bachelor of Science in Culinary Arts from Johnson and Wales University. From a young age, Destiny displayed a vibrant spirit, a sense of humor, and a passion for cooking for others.

Destiny was a devoted mother to her two children, Zyiere and Mikhia, who were the light of her life. She shared a special bond with her friend Scott, her dog Sosa, and her cats. Destiny will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she shared with everyone she met. Her laughter was infectious, and her unwavering positivity and willingness to help others touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her legacy of love and compassion will live on through her children and the many lives she touched.

Destiny will be missed by her children, Zyiere and Mikhia; her bonus child, Tyhjmir Davis; her parents, Pamela Latimer and Billy Davis; her siblings, Jasmine Latimer-Cooke (Breona), Nyisholin Berry, Teddy, and Telacy Davis; and many other family members and friends.  Destiny's memory will forever be cherished by all who knew and loved her.

She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Willie F. Latimer and Jessie R. Davis, her grandfathers, Joe Hill and Joe Davis, and her stepfather, Lee Robison.  

A viewing will be held on Friday, January 3, 2025 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m., at Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home in Anderson, South Carolina. A reception celebrating Destiny’s life will be held at 327 E. Shockley Ferry Road from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
