Mrs. Delores Ann Jackson Ware transitioned peacefully into her heavenly home on Sunday, May 31, 2026. She was born on May 13, 1941, in DeFuniak Springs, Florida, to the late Enoch Jackson and Lee Ray Sistrump Jackson.
Delores joined Trinity Baptist Church many years ago, where she faithfully served as President of the Missionary Ministry and was a devoted member of the Intercessory Bible Study Group. She retired from Anderson Memorial Hospital after many years of dedicated service.
Her legacy of faith, love, service, and devotion to family will forever remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
Delores will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Angela (Markeith) Brock; her son, Jerome (Nita) Ware; her nephew reared in the home, Carnese (Becky) Jackson; a bonus son, Curtis (Tina) Gray; her last surviving sister, Olar Forrest of Charleston, South Carolina; sisters-in-law, Betty W. Jackson of Anderson, South Carolina, and Gracie Jackson and Alice Jackson, both of Fort Walton Beach, Florida; grandchildren, Marquis Young, Patrick Brock, Tomecka Ware, Karmesha Lindsay, Kevonia Ware, and Pete Gambrell; great-grandchildren, Averia Young, Azariah Young, Aury Young, Ayce Young, Jaxon Brock, Keshawn Young, and Kamaya Lindsay; along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David Ware; her son, Kenney Ware; her daughter-in-law, Beverly Ware; and her siblings, Ruby Jewel Cason, Cora Dean Johnson, Ila Dean Hines, Bornie Ella McKinnon, Mittie B. Smith, Esther Denise Jackson, L.D. Jackson, Lonnie B. Jackson, Richardson Jackson, and Bobby Jackson.
The funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2026 at Trinity Baptist Church. The interment will follow at Oaklawn Memorial Gardens. Public viewing on Friday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. daily at the home, 310 Kingsboro Road, Anderson, SC 29626.
