Cynthia Ann (McDowell) Boseman

On December 22, 1959, a beautiful baby girl who would be named Cynthia was born to Ernest and Annie Maude McDowell. Cynthia went home to her heavenly father peacefully on November 28, 2023, at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Cynthia graduated from McDuffie High School and worked in healthcare as a nursing assistant throughout her work career. Cynthia joined Mount Carmel C.M.E. Church at an early age where she sang in the church choir, Cynthia had a beautiful voice.

Cynthia is survived by her mother, Annie M. McDowell; son, Rico Boseman; daughter, Shalanda Boseman; seven grandchildren, Tyriek Haliey, ZaBrea Rice, Keshawn Boseman, Pri Thompson, Moses Kemp, Lashay Mattison and Nyangel Boseman; two great-grandchildren, ShyDre Haliey and Malaya Geer; brothers, Jeffery McDowell of Germany and Timothy McDowell (Angela) of Brownstown Michigan; adopted sister, Patsy Winn of Anderson, SC; aunt, Pornesia Carter; special cousin/auntie, Doris Baskins; niece, Justice McDowell; nephews, Timothy McDowell Jr., Antonio McDowell, Mikal McDowell, Jasman McDowell, Alvin McDowell, and Avery McDowell. She is also survived by a host of other family and friends.

Cynthia was preceded in death by her father, Ernest McDowell; brother, Sidney McDowell; sister, Sharon McDowell; grandson, TyDre Haliey; grandmother, Josephine Nance; and a very special nephew, JocQue McDowell.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 2, 2023 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
