Christopher Bernard Jones

Christopher Bernard Jones, affectionately known as Rebel, was born in Anderson, SC on October 18, 1972 to Rose Marie Jones and Clem Harris.  He passed away on Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at Twin View Healthcare in Twin City, GA.

As a child Chris was a fast learner.  He excelled in school and made the honor roll from the 1st through the 10th grade. Chris loved spending time with his family and taking care of them.  All his family had to do was call and Rebel would be there. Chris had a very special love for his two boys Elijah and Azion.  Their births were the highlight of his life and through them and everyone who loved him, he will live on. 

He is survived by his sons, Elijah Smith and Azion Jones; brothers, Don Jones, Zachery Harris, Kelly Willingham, Lavar Couser, and Phat Mattress; sister, Merry Cartner; his aunts and uncles, Barbara & David Ward, Roy Lee & Rochelle Jones, La Claire Jones, Vanessa Johnson, Darion & Amy Jones, Sharon Jones and Doris Jones; and a host of relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Rose Marie Jones; father, Clem Harris; stepmother, Mary Harris; grandparents, Rebecca & Alphonso Jones; uncles, Alphonso Jones Jr., Dennis Jones, Donny Ray Jones; aunt, Bonnie Groves; and two cousins Travis Jones and Donte Jones.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. 

Public viewing will be held Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. and 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

The family is at the home of his aunt, La Claire Jones, 109 Rocky Top Road Anderson, SC.
