Charles McRonald Jones

Mr. Charles “Ron” McRonald Jones, 65, of 321 Cherokee St, Anderson, SC, passed away on Thursday, April 13th, 2023.  Charles was born in Anderson, SC on March 1, 1958 and was the oldest of Charles Thompson and Kay Frances Adams.

Charles attended school in Anderson County and was well known for his amazing cooking. He spent many years working at Amed Health and Varennes Elementary. Charles was a faithful member of Greater Love Bible Church.  As a child, he attended Ebenezer Baptist Church.

He leaves behind two daughters Ronkeela and Shyanne Jones; his mother Kay Frances Adams; two sisters, Mary and Jaqueline Adams; two brothers, Stevie and Quincy Adams; his best friend and partner, Judy Geer; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Charles was preceded in death by his father, Charles Thompson; his son, Charles Newell, and one sister, Tammy Adams.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens. Public viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
