Cathy Corner

Ms. Cathy "Cat" Corner was born in Anderson, SC on March 7, 1968.  She passed away at Callie and John Rainey Hospice House on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the age of 58.

Cathy was a very intelligent person.  During her early childhood, she won the spelling bee contest at school.  She graduated from Pendleton High School in 1986. She was employed at many great places during her work career.  Plastic Omnium was her favorite place to work.

Cathy enjoyed having fun and enjoyed watching the Clemson Tigers and the Dallas Cowboys. Her favorite color was yellow because it symbolizes optimism, energy, joy, and intellect, often associated with sunshine and warmth.

Cathy really loved her daughter, granddaughter, family, and her close friends.  She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving daughter and granddaughter, Tyiesha Wheaton and Ataleigh Wheaton both of Pendleton, SC; three sisters, Doris Morris, Joyce Robinson, and Shelby Jean Jones; three brothers, Cecil Corner, Ernest Jones, and Stephon Davis; reared in the home, Geraldine Robinson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Flora Jones Corner and one brother, Lewis Corner.

The funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 27, 2026 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  Public viewing will be held Thursday from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of her sister, Doris Morris, 1 Pindo Court, Anderson, SC.
