Cager Kay

Mr. Cager Kay was born to Bertha Kay Sims on February 8, 1939 in Belton, South Carolina.  He departed this life on Monday, June 17, 2024.

Cager was married to Daisy Beaty Kay for 52 years.  He worked in the textile industry for 34 years before retiring from Clark Schwebel.  Cager loved spending time with his family, eating and drinking ice-cold water.  He also enjoyed wrestling and classic cars.

He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Daisy; daughters, Patricia Alexander, Gwendolyn Davis, Catherine Kelly, and Sandra Robinson-Wiley; one son, Danny Colbert; and a host of relatives.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Kay Sims; step-father, Jacks Sims; children, Margaret Alexander, Bobby Heard, Sharon Hall, and Janet Heard; one sister, Ester Lean Crosby; and brothers, Theodore Kay, Frank Sims, Horace Sims, Nathaniel Sims, and J.T. Hall.

The funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2024 at Wilson Calvary Baptist Church.  The interment will follow at New Silverbrook Cemetery.  Public viewing Saturday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
