Brenda Gail Reed

Brenda Gail Reed, 71, of Iva, South Carolina, passed away on July 7, 2022. She was born to parents Carrie Lou Webster Reed and Sylvester Reed on September 27, 1950.

She graduated from New Deal High School and later went on to obtain a Bachelors from Anderson College. She worked all of her life in the manufacturing industry in various roles from operator to supervisor to HR.

Brenda was an avid bowler. She participated in countless tournaments. She loved to walk. She would start her day with a walk and talk with the Lord. When she wasn't bowling or walking, you could find her in the yard tending to her various flowers.

Brenda is survived by her children: Tessia Reed, Dianna Reed, Micheal (Jameelah) Reed and her sisters: Dorothy Hall, Mary (Jesse) Oliver, and Velories Reed, as well as 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Carrie Lou Webster Reed, father, Sylvester Reed, Sr., brother, Sylvester Reed, Jr, and brother, Harry Wayne Reed.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 11, 2022 at Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing Sunday from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of her sisters, Dorothy Hall and Veloris Reed 128 Sherrard Road Iva, SC 29655.
