Mr. Blake Hunter, son of Geraldine Hunter and Warren Gilliard, was born on January 5, 1986 in Anderson, South Carolina. He was known for his unselfish love of family and friends. Blake wasa very sociable person who enjoyed being around others. His gigantic smile was contagious and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Most important in Blake’s life were his twodaughters, whom he cherished and adored.
Blake was an avid sports fan who enjoyed football, basketball, and mainly fishing. He was very creative and a talented artist, and also enjoyed cooking. Blake graduated from Pendleton High School in 2004. He also attended Tri-County TechnicalCollege and North Greenville College. He was employed and enjoyed working at Michelin North America, Anderson Plant until his health declined.
Blake leaves to cherish fond and loving memories to his mother, Geraldine Hunter of Anderson,SC; father, Warren Gilliard of Starr, SC; two daughters, Chazney Cade of Laurens, SC and Honesti Hunter of Central, SC; two sisters, Gerri Hunter of Suwanee, GA and Crystal Lee (Chris) of Fountain Inn, SC; one niece, Bri’Asia Lee of Fountain Inn, SC; two nephews, Braylen Lee and Christopher Lee, both of Fountain Inn, SC; grandmother, Zenobia W. Blanding of Anderson, SC; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Blake was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Johnny J. Hunter, Sr; paternal grandfather, Warren F. Gilliard; and paternal grandmother, Betty Jean Gilliard.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 9, 2023 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The family is at the home of his mother, 808 Shamrock Lane, Anderson, SC 29621.
