Billy Jenkins Obituary
William "Billy" Sam Jenkins, son of the late William C. and Geneva Jenkins was born in Anderson, South Carolina on APril 28, 1937. He made his transition on Thursday morning, June 9, 2022 at his home.
Billy dated Mary Tucker for several years. They were blessed with one child. SSG Billy Jenkins from 2nd Squad Platoon, joined the United States Army in 1965. He served his county for 22 years, as a military policeman for 18 years and as a correctional specialist for 4 years. He also worked as a security officer at The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland and the United States Postal Service.
He leaves to cherish fond memories his son, Daryl Tucker of Anderson, South Carolina, a special friend, Jeanette M. Sweat, and a host of friends and neighbors.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, 2022 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The inurnment will take place at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery at a later date.
