Betty Jean "Boo Boo" Wideman

Ms. Betty Jean Wideman, also known as Boo Boo, was born in Anderson, SC on November 14, 1959.  She passed away on January 19, 2023 at AnMed Health Medical Center. 

Betty enjoyed spending time at home and with her family.  Before her health declined, she worked as a CNA at Senior Solutions.  Betty took pride in her work and was recognized for her outstanding service.  During her time at Senior Solutions, she touched many lives.

Betty was loved dearly and will truly be missed by her family.   She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Sammie Lee Starks; her son and his wife, Thomas L. (Meeka) Wideman of Anderson, SC; three grandchildren, Thoymus Wideman, Anayah Wideman, and Thomas Wideman, Jr.; two sisters, Blanche C. Harrison and Viola Wideman both of Anderson, SC; one brother, William Henry Wideman of Atlanta, GA; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Bessie Mae and William Henry Wideman; sister, Henrietta Wideman; one brother, Willie Wideman; and two nephews, Bruno Earl Geer and Prince Rodriquez Freeman.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 28, 2023 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. 

The family is at the home of her sister, Viola Wideman, 401 Hayes Street Anderson, SC.
