Betty Ann (Wilkes) Quarles

Betty Ann Wilkes Quarles was born in Seneca, South Carolina on August 1, 1944.  She departed this life on Friday, April 26, 2024 in Anderson, SC. 

Betty was a devoted woman to her family.  She kept a smile on her face and always kept her phone line open for anyone to call.  She loved to dance and be with her children and grands.  She served her purpose as a phenomenal mother to her four children, grandmother, wife, and all-around nurturer.

She was deeply loved and will be missed by her daughters, Jacqueline Quarles and  LaVera Quarles Rainey; two sons, Jerry Quarles and Greg Wilkes; eight loving grandchildren, Demitrius Quarles, Keshia Quarles, Serena Quarles, Jedrius Quarles, JeVante Quarles, Jerrion Quarles, Cordae Quarles, and Chris Quarles; many loving great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, 2024 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The family is at the home of her granddaughter, Serena Quarles, 1807 Edgewood Ave., Apt. B, Anderson, SC 29625.
