Barbara Denise Harrison

Ms. Barbara Denise Harrison was born to the union of the late William Henry Harrison and Mary Frances Bryant Harrison on January 1, 1965 in Anderson, South Carolina. 

Barbara graduated from Westside High School in 1983 and retired from Electrolux.  After retirement, she starting working part time at Ingles.  Barbara committed her life to Christ and became a member of Crossroads C.M.E. Church in Iva, South Carolina.  She later joined Mt. Sinai Outreach Ministries in Pendleton, South Carolina.  Barbara was known as "Niecy" to her family and friends.  She really loved the Lord.  She also loved her family deeply and truly cared for others.

She left her earthly home on November 9, 2021 to her heavenly home.  Left to celebrate her life and cherish her wonderful memories: one sister, Joyce Ann (Richard) Leverette; two brothers, Robert Lee Harrison and William Leon Harrison; two nieces and two nephews in which she nourished them with her love and care, Narquacia Ellington, Tamika Scott, Jaquan Ellington and Yazid Musalini, who was reared in the home.  She also leaves three aunts, Rosa Mae Lee, Mary Virginia Bryant and Sarah B. Harrison all of Anderson, SC and a host of nieces, nephews, and relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Frances Harrison; two brothers, Steve H. Harrison and Stanley E. Harrison; one nephew, Korey Harrison; and three nieces, Rhonda Williams, Wanda Brown, and Latriecia Scott Swilling. 

Public viewing will be held on Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 14, 2021 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Crossroads C.M.E. Church Cemetery. 

The family is at the home, 226 Greenmeadow Circle Anderson, SC 29626 and the home of her niece, 306 Jones Road Anderson, SC 29624.
