Anzie Dennis Obituary
Deacon Anzie Allen Dennis, 80, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Rainey Hospice House.
He leaves to cherish fond memories to his sons, Steve Lee and Anthony (Priscilla) Lee; reared in the home as a daughter, Dr. Penelope (Henry) Laws; two sisters, Lillian Heard and Dianne Martin; three brothers, Albert Dennis, Lawrence (Barbara) Dennis, and Morris (Geneva) Dennis; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eliza Jane Adams Dennis and Ira Dennis, Sr; one son, Oscar Edward Dennis; two sisters, Minister Lellia Mae Hanks and Etrulia Russell; and three brothers, Ira Dennis, Jr., Dr. Douglas E. Dennis, and Horace Dennis, Sr.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
Friends may pay their respects on Tuesday from 1:00 - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Paul First Baptist Church (parking lot), 322 W. Reed St., Anderson, SC 29624.
The family will be at their respective homes.
