Annie Ruth (Norris) Anderson

Mrs. Annie Ruth Norris Anderson was born in Starr, South Carolina on July 24, 1944.  She departed this life on Tuesday, August 22, 2023 at her home.

Annie was a dedicated member of Mt. Able Baptist Church in Pendleton, SC.  She faithfully served on the usher board for over 50 years.  She retired from Gerber Children Wear after 35 years of employment.  She later worked for Anderson School District Five for 8 years.

Annie loved going to church and working in her yard.  She also enjoyed spending time with her family and calling people "chicken butt".

She will be greatly missed by her daughter, Jenna Stewart of Pelzer, SC; son, Larry Anderson, Jr. of Anderson, SC; seven grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild; one sister, Doris A. Jefferson of Belton, SC; one brother, Jimmy L. Norris of Greenville, SC; and a host of relatives.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Anderson; parents, Fannie Mae Jones Norris and Joe Henry Norris; one son, John Jr. Anderson; eight siblings, Harvey Norris, Pearl Blassingame, Joe Norris, Jessie Norris, LaEunice Byrd, Richard Norris, Peggy S. Thompson and Beatrice Galloway.

The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at Mt. Able Baptist Church (Pendleton).  The interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Public viewing Saturday from 1:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
