Ms. Alice Mae Lee Fant was born in Anderson County, South Carolina on July 22, 1942. She was the eldest daughter of the late Aszre Lee and the late Katherine (Thompson) Lee. She departed this life on Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the Rainey Hospice House.
Ms. Fant was educated in the public schools of Anderson County and graduated from Westside High School. She continued her education at Forrest College. She retired from Greenville County (law enforcement), where she accomplished Officer of the Month. She was the Owner/Operator of A&K Café.
She was baptized and dedicated her life to God and was a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church family. She served in the Missionary Society, Rock Hill Gospel Chorus and was the Financial Secretary and a Deaconess. She volunteered as a Guardian Ad Litem and was a member of Union #1.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Aszre Lee and Katherine Lee, her husband, James E. Fant, her brother, Harold Sloan Lee, Sr., her son, Gregory E. Clark and daughter, Tonya K. Clark.
Ms. Alice Mae Lee Fant leaves to cherish her loving memories, her son, Jaime Clark; grandsons, Jalen Clark and McKenzie Cuffie; sister, Karen (Gary) Smith; brother, Lawyer Lee; stepdaughters, Tawana Fant and Monique Fant; several step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 9, 2022 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Thursday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
