Mr. Alfred Clark was born to the late Earlie Clark and Vinnie Hill Clark on June 27, 1951. On Friday, March 28, 2025, Alfred Clark peacefully departed this earthly tabernacle at his home.
Alfred worked at West Point Stevens in Calhoun Falls, SC for 40 years and later worked for SCDOT until he retired.
He was preceded in death by his mother and father; five brothers, Earlie Junior, Ernest Clark, Willie T. Clark, Curtis Clark, and Fred Henry Clark; and five sisters, Addie L. Norman, Mildred Jackson, Ozetta Norman, Arlene Norman, and Mary Morrast.
He leaves to cherish many great memories to the love of his life, his wife, Patricia Turman Clark; one daughter, Sandra (Bernard) Culbreath of Greenwood, SC; one son, Leon (Shannon) Clark of Calhoun Falls, SC; one brother, John D. Clark of Elberton, GA; four sisters, Camelia Noble of Philadelphia, PA; Annie P. Newton of Tignall, GA, Bessie L. Jenkins of Lincolnton, GA, and Beatrice (Sylvester) Mahoney of Washington, GA; one niece raised in the home with him, Janice (Tim) Smith; two brothers-in-law, William Turman of Charlotte, NC and Charles (Lovella) Turman of Calhoun Falls, SC; one sister-in-law, Carolyn (Lawrence) Reid of Calhoun Falls, SC; four grandchildren reared in the home, Reggie (Shakira) Smith, Shaquilla (Codey) Brown, Alyssa Clark, and Raikem Clark; two more grandchildren, Shaleka and Mariyah Clark; his best friend, Sergeant (the family dog); and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Thursday, April 3, 2025 at Springfield Baptist Church in Calhoun Falls, SC. The interment will follow in the church cemetery. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home (Calhoun Falls).
The family is at the home, 72 Sylvia Drive, Calhoun Falls, SC 29628 and at the home of his daughter Sandra, 105 Squirrel Tree Road, Greenwood SC 29646.
