Agnes Patricia Johnson, aged 74, a long-time resident of Anderson, South Carolina, passed away on August 30, 2025. Born on February 12, 1951, in Anderson, SC, Pat was the beloved daughter of Fred Thomason and Jessie Mae Thomason.

Pat was a consistent presence in the community. She held various positions within the education system, working at Varennes Elementary, Nevitt Forest Elementary, Hanna-Westside Extension Campus, and the Anderson School District 5 Office. She dedicated her career to nurturing the minds of the young and facilitating their growth. Her dedication to education and the community was unwavering.

Pat was preceded in death by her son, Charles Alfred Thompson, Jr., father Fred Thomason, mother Jessie Mae Thomason, and sister Corine Owens. Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughters, Jessica Uyvette Thompson and Charlotte Victoria Thompson; son, James Clarence McDowell, Jr., her loving grandchildren, Ciara, Caleb, Seth, and Amondre', and her devoted sisters, Carolyn, Irine, and Freddie Mae (Lee Williams).

Pat was a woman of unparalleled strength and resilience, who faced the adversities of life with grace and courage. She was a beacon of hope and a pillar of support for her family and friends.

Throughout her life, Pat was known for her kind and compassionate nature. Her generosity knew no bounds, and she always put the needs of others before her own. She was a woman of great character, whose traits of honesty, integrity, and courage were admired by all who knew her.

Pat’s accomplishments were numerous and varied. However, she took the greatest pride in her family, who were the center of her world. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and sister, whose love and care nurtured and sustained her family.

In keeping with Pat’s wishes, there will be no public services. The family appreciates your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Pat led an exemplary life, full of love, laughter, and learning. She will be sorely missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of all those she touched.
