Adell Simmons Jones

Mrs. Adell Simmons Jones, 87, of 203 Miracle Mile Drive in Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 31, 2021. 

She is survived by her daughters, Loretta Jones Turner, Cedalia Jones Thompson, Beverly Jean “B.J.” Jones, and Katrina Jones; one son, Osborne Alexander Jones; seventeen grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren, nineteen great-great grandchildren, and twenty-six great-great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rochelle Simmons, Jr. and Selemer McGee Simmons; her husband, Willie Ellis Jones; three daughters, Betty Adell Jones Bowman, Barbara Idell Jones, and Atina Jones; thirteen siblings, Ruth Dotson, Ruby Evans, Annie Bell Watson, Allie Mae Clinkscales, Sadie Simmons, Charlena Simmons, Booker T. Simmons, Lawrence Simmons, Rochelle Simmons, Jr., Grady Leon Simmons, Franklin Simmons, Charles Simmons, and Willie Turman “Skeet” Simmons.

Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from 1:00 until 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

A virtual memorial service via Zoom will be held on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at 4:00 p.m.  Please contact the family for additional information.
