Walter Sloan Obituary

Mr. Walter Sloan, 69, of East Market Street in Anderson, SC, passed away on Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at AnMed Health Medical Center. Walter was an United States Army Veteran.

He is survived by his one daughter, Hannah Mayer; one son, Jakob Stroy; one grandchild, Shara Mayers; mother, Lois Ware Sloan; three sisters, Eunice Sloan, Alice Martin, and Brenda Sloan; five brothers, William, Fred, Billy, Ronnie, and Calvin Sloan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Sloan; father, James Sloan; and two brothers, James H. Sloan and Robert L. Sloan.

A memorial service will be held with Military Honors at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at the M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery.

The family is at the home of his sister, Eunice Sloan, 520 Ramsey Road Anderson, SC 29621.
