Virginia Gray

Ms. Virginia Gray was born in Anderson, SC to the late Dorothy Hester Gray McDuffie and Albert Lee Jones in Anderson, SC.  She passed away on Friday, June 15, 2018 in Athens, GA.

Virginia graduated from McDuffie and a former employee of Electrolux and Plastic Omnium.

She is survived her daughter, Kiva McIntosh; two sons, Russell Demetrius Leshon Calhoun and Derrick Jones; five grandchildren, Kenora Zalaya Lyonna Calhoun, Niyheem Calhoun, A'mya Calhoun, Kayden Ellis Groves, and Brayden Jones; ten sisters, Sylvene Webb, Elizabeth Baskin, Barbara (WJ) Gray, Mary Gray, Irene Gray, Amy Gray, Gloria Gray, Swain Johnson, Willie McBride, and Emma Bell; eight brothers, Odell (Connie) Smith, Fred (Bunny) Smith, Kather Gray, James Webb, Randy (Lynette) McBride, Tone McBride, Roy Lee Bell, and James (Deborah) Jones; three aunts, Nellie Mae Bowman, Frey Jones, and Judy Hunter; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by Nora Lee Scott Jacob Davis (reared in their home); two grandmothers, Rose Hunter and Moriah Davis; and her grandfather, Pearl Hester.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 22, 2018 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of her sister, Elizabeth Baskin, 1033 Monroe White Road Anderson, SC 29624.
