Robert Lewis Telford

MSgt Robert Lewis Telford, husband to Hattie Loraine Telford passed away peacefully on Monday, March 11, 2019, at his home.  He was born January 11, 1935, in Anderson County, to the late Juriah and Louise Telford.

Robert was a graduate of Westside High School and served 24 years in the United States Air Force.

He is survived by his loving wife, Loraine Beaty Telford of 60 years; daughter, Catherine Hemingway (Peter) of Phoenix Arizona; son, Robert Anthony Telford (KaPonda) of Columbia, South Carolina; son, Clint Telford (Linda) of Atlanta Georgia; daughter, Yolanda Thompson (Marvin “Pete”) of Anderson, South Carolina; grandchildren, Victoria Young (Eric Jr.) of Phoenix Arizona, Peter Hemingway V of Phoenix, Arizona, Nathan Hemingway of Phoenix, Arizona, Robert DeVon Telford (Melissa) of Dallas, Texas, Erik Telford of Los Angeles, California, Kevin Telford of Atlanta, Georgia, Kristin Telford of Atlanta Georgia, Brandi Freeman of Anderson, South Carolina, Acie Freeman VI of Conway, South Carolina and Lincoya Freeman-Lindsey (Arbera) of North Charleston, South Carolina.  He is also survived by three great-grandchildren; six sisters, Clara Burriss, Lillie Telford, Robina Wood, Joyce Diane Acker, Patricia Ann Watt and Mildred Telford; and one brother, Tim Wilkins.

He was also preceded in death by his sister, Willie Frances Latimer.

The funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 18, 2019 at Shiloh Baptist Church.  The interment will follow at M.J. "Dolly" Cooper Veterans Cemetery with military honors.
