Lonnel Chester Sr.

Mr. Lonnel Chester Sr., 78, of Anderson, SC, passed away on Friday, July 5, 2019 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

Survivors include six daughters and three sons: Margaret Chester, Barbara Chester, Evelyn Hooper (Ricardo of California), Lisa Chester-Blanding (Freddy), Lonnel Chester Jr., Martha Chester-Patterson (Larry), Cynthia Robinson (Cephas), Ralph Thomas Chester (Elena), Danny Chester (Kelley), all children of Anderson, SC; Sisters: Doris Austin (of Pendleton, SC), Virginia Butler (of Pendleton, SC), Vernelle Thompson (of Anderson, SC), Viola Ellington (of Pendleton, SC), Barbara Hawthorne (Allen) of Charlotte, NC; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; Ralph Thomas Chester Jr. and Marie Webb Chester; three brothers James, Calvin, and Grover Chester and three sisters Fannie Mae Williams , Willie Mae Scott, and Juanita Chester.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 13, 2019 at the House of Refuge (1800 S. Murray Ave. Ext., Anderson, SC).  The interment will follow at Memory Gardens in Clemson, SC.  The family will receive friends 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 12, 2019 at the funeral home.
