Jack Gaines, Jr.

Jack Gaines, Jr.,  74 of 1318 Marne St, Anderson, SC, passed away on August 15, 2019 at AnMed Health Medical Center after battling years of bone cancer.

He was the son of the late Jack Gaines, Sr. and the late Annie Sue Carson Gaines and the late Mary Magdalene Gaines. He retired from Pickens Roofing Company after many years of service.

Jack leaves to mourn four loving sisters, Georgia Mae Gaines, Julia Ann Gaines, Marie Smith (Alphonzo), and Dixie Lee Gaines (John Morris) all of Anderson, SC; three loving brothers, Clyde Gaines (Patricia), Vernon Gaines and Melvin Gaines (Mahalia) all of Anderson, SC; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; a special friend, Angel Jones; and lifetime friend and sister, Ethelrene Earle.

He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Kennedy, Bessie Lee Gaines, two brothers, William Charles Brown and James Lee Gaines; grandparents, Bessie and Bud Carson and Clarence and Essie Gaines. 

The funeral service will be held at  2:00PM on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Trinity Baptist Church.  Interment will follow at Anderson Memorial Gardens.

The family is at the home and 111 Brown St., Anderson, SC.
