JW McCoppin, 71, of 740 Keowee Road, passed away on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Greenville Memorial Hospital. JW was a volunteer fireman fro the Antreville Fire Dept. Station 3.
He is survived by his wife, Kathleen Tolbert McCoppin; three daughters, Monike Macedo, April McCoppin, and Annette Lee; two son, Barry Lee and Mandell Brownlee; thirteen grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one sister, Rev. Sandra M. Smith; and three brothers, Samuel McCoppin, James Wallace Groves, and Marshall McCoppin.
He was preceded in death by his parents, JD and Biddie Mae Hudson McCoppin; one son, Adarryll McCoppin; three sisters, Linda McCoppin, Neomi M. Clinkscales and Airletha M. Sutton; and three brothers, John S. McCoppin, Johnnie Ray McCoppin, and Calvin McCoppin, Sr.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018 at Flat Rock A.M.E. Church. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home, 740 Keowee Road, Iva, SC 29655.
