Gracie Lee Carson Scott

Mrs. Gracie L. Carson Scott was born October 4, 1944 in Iva, SC and departed this life on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 in Anderson, SC.

She was the daughter of the late Charlie Bunyan and Eula Mae Williams Carson.  She was married to Emanuel C. Scott for 53 years.

Gracie retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas after working there for over 30 years.  She was a former member of Cross Road C.M.E. Church in Iva, SC and currently she was a member of Evergreen Baptist Church, where served as President of the Deaconess Board.  

Gracie was a caregiver, provider, and helped raise many children throughout her life.

She leaves to cherish her fond memories, her husband; son, Brian Gillard; sister, Charlie Carson Murray; brother, Rev. James McKee; one granddaughter, Brooke Gillard; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, in-laws, and close friends.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her brothers, Ralph, James, and Ezekiel Carson.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00p.m. on Friday, August 23, 2019 at Anderson Memorial Gardens.
