David Robinson Sr.

Mr. David Robinson Sr., 83, of Burlington, NC, passed away on March 15, 2018 in Burlington, NC.

He was born on July 11, 1934 to the late Charlie and Bertha Walker Robinson.  He was married to the late Julia Johnson Robinson.  David worked for J. Roy Martin Roofing for many years.

He is survived by three sons, Howard (Joyce) Robinson and Don Robinson both of Anderson, SC and Tony Robinson of Elberton, GA; one daughter, Shunia Walker of Burlington, NC; two step-daughters, Peggy Walker and Diann Walker bother of Burlington, NC; two sisters, Shirley Jones and Alfronia Cousar both of Anderson, SC; two brothers, Cecil (Leanor) Robinson of Anderson, SC and Raymond (Margaret) Robinson of Queens, NY; six grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a faithful friend, Tony Rogers of Burlington, NC; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Robinson; parents, Charlie and Bertha W. Robinson; three sons, David Robinson Jr., Jimmy Robinson, and Franklin Robinson; seven brothers, Roy Robinson, Coleman Robinson, Charlie Robinson Jr., Anthony Robinson, Wade Robinson, Paul Robinson, and Cephus Robinson; and a devoted friend, Andrena Walker.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 23, 2018 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.

The family is at the home of his sister, Shirley Jones, 508 Cathcart Drive Anderson, SC 29624.
