Ms. Lettis Frances Hatton was born on February 4, 1946 in Anderson, SC. She was the daughter of the late Grover and Bessie Mae Roebuck.
She worked at JP Stevenson in Anderson, SC, Jackson Mills in Iva, SC, and LaFrance Mills in Sandy Springs, SC. She was a diligent hard worker and did anything she could for her family.
Frances truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures; pouring her unselfish love for family and friends. Her smile was infectious and always brightened up the room. She enjoyed sitting outside watching, feeding, and talking to the hummingbirds. She also loved watching the flowers flourish.
Survivors include her three daughters, Marilyn (William) Hatton Bryant of the home in Belton, SC, Sandra Renee Hatton, and Jacqueline (Demitrus) Gaines both of Anderson, SC; eleven grandchildren, Antonio "Tony" Hatton, Mandricous "Shun" Hatton, Anthony "Leroy" Mattison, Alton "Barrail" Calloway, Clarence (Sharlacey) Calloway, Porsha (Terrence) Sullivan, Billy Lee (Josh) Davis, all of Anderson, SC, Mantez Hatton, Dantez (Kendra) Hatton both of Belton, SC, Lashay Davis of Charlotte, NC, and Stelesa Davis; forty-three great-grandchildren; one great-greatgrandchild; two sisters, Margie Mary Richardson and Patricia Ann Roebuck both of Anderson, SC; and one brother, Fennice (Teresa) Roebuck of Iva, SC. She also leaves to cherish fond memories to a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Samuel Hatton; nine sisters, Betty Jean Gillard, Freddie Mae Sullivan, Ruby Brown, Rebecca Jones, Ilenee Maxwell, Sara Roebuck, Lilly Moekeese, Carnbell Willingham, Ella Hartley; seven brothers James, Willie, Claude, GV, Eve, Nelson, and KC Roebuck.
The funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 10, 2024 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held on Tuesday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m.
