Pastor Ruth Ann Thompson, 86, of 123 Hillcrest Circle in Anderson, SC, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Rainey Hospice.

She was the Pastor of Refuge Church of Christ in Anderson, SC

She is survived by two grandchildren, James Christopher Lee (Ann) and Nikita Lee; two great-grandchildren, James Christopher Lee, II and Nicholas Dean Lee; and three sisters, Dorothy Pickens, Willie Mae Hatten and Sylvene Wright.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Henry Thompson; parents, Gaties and Annie Young Wright; one daughter, Jacqueline Lee; and one brother, Sylvester Wright.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. Saturday, September 10, 2016 at Welfare Baptist Church in Belton, SC.  The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.
