Joseph Clinkscales Obituary
Mr. Joseph Ernest Clinkscales, 72, of 1084 Keowee Road in Iva, SC, passed away on Monday, January 29, 2018.
Mr. Clinkscales was a member of Springfield Baptist Church. He was an Army Veteran and retired from Owens Corning Fiberglass. He also worked part time at Abbeville County School District 60.
He is survived by his daughter, Greta (Troy) Young; son, Anthony (Margaret) Clinkscales; three sisters, Mary Melrose Hunter, Lillian Christian Green, and Cora Y. Lee; two brothers, Jerry Clinkscales and Vance Clinkscales, Jr.; four grandchildren, Kortney, Jasmine, Jessica, and Krystal; four great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Lula Lavonia Brownlee Clinkscales; parents, Vance Andrew and Mary McAdams Clinkscales; two sisters, Sylvia Ann Jean Clinkscales and Dora Eloise Wilson; and two brothers, William Cherry Clinkscales and Oscar Clinkscales.
The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at Springfield Baptist Church in Level Land Community. The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Greta and Troy Young, 134 Charping Lane Anderson, SC 29621.
