Mr. Jimmy Ray "Slim" Thomas, 69, of 104 Meadow Hills Drive in Anderson, SC, passed away on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Rainey Hospice.  

He is survived by his wife, Helen Rice Thomas and her daughter, Tracy Denton;  three grandchildren, Laval, Krishaun, and Keisha that he raised as his own; and three great-grandchildren; his seven children, Jimmy Thomas Jr., Rico Thomas, Tamara Thomas, Tracy Thomas, Dave Thomas, Mary Thomas, and Cornell Brown; a former wife, Mary Richardson Thomas; two step-children, Roy Richardson and Victoria Richardson; twenty-one grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dave and Beatrice Freeman Thomas.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 3, 2016 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the funeral service.
