Mr. James Ware, Jr., age 79, of 122 Hillcrest Circle in Anderson, SC, passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2016 at AnMed Health Medical Center.

He is survived by his wife, Lillie Belle Lee Ware of the home; one son, Stephen Bernard (Charlotte) Ware of Norfolk, Virginia; two grandsons, Christopher and Alston Ware both of Norfolk, Virginia; sisters, Lucile (Standley) Wornum of Culloden, Georgia, Minnie Ware and Barbara Ware both of New York, NY; reared in the home, Katherine Ware of Belton, SC; two brothers, David L. (Laura) Ware and J.D. (Gloris) Ware both of Anderson, SC; and one sister-in-law, Virginia Ware.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Luther Ware, Sr. and Bertha Holloway Ware; two stepsons, Charles F. Jones and Otis Thompson, Jr.; one sister, Dorothy Ware; and one brother, John Walter Ware.

The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 9, 2016 at Welfare Baptist Church.  The interment will follow in the church cemetery.
