Glenn Williams Obituary

Mr. Glenn Williams, 78, of 827 Old Stone Church Road in Clemson, SC passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at Rainey Hospice House.  

Glenn Williams was born in Anderson, SC on January 7, 1940 to the late Lee and Jessie Mae Williams. He was the youngest of 16 children whom all preceded him in death.

Glenn attended Westside High School and worked in several positions, mainly as an orthopaedic technician during his 38 years with AnMed Health Center.  Glenn spent his time being a fan of the Clemson Tigers as well as enjoying life and laughter with friends and family who will all remember his humor and his easy-going personality.   

He is leaving behind to cherish his memory: a devoted wife, Mary Williams of the home; a son, Tracy (Jody) Williams of Six Mile, SC; a daughter, Tweeter (Jimmie) Bennett  of Anderson, SC; three grandchildren: Jay (Joy) Bennett of Seneca, SC, Lisa Bennett of Clemson, SC, and Macy Williams of Six Mile.  He is also survived by several loving great-grandchildren: Jochelyn (Jayvin) George, Jalin & Jaeda Bennett all of Seneca, SC and Philip & Alicia Boykin of Clemson, SC.  He also was blessed with a great great-grandson, Jayce; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends are left behind to miss him dearly.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Jessie Mae Williams; and fifteen siblings, Ella Mae Little, Geneva Jenkins, Mildred Davis, Edna Mobley, Sallie Smith, Nora Spear, Jennie Beaty, Hattie Williams, Willie Williams, Alberta Williams, John Williams, Adger Williams, Clarence Williams, Wilbert Williams, and Oscar Williams.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 2, 2018 in the Ollie Robinson Brown Memorial Chapel of Marcus D. Brown Funeral Home.  The interment will follow at New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery in Clemson.  

The family is at the home, 827 Old Stone Church Road Clemson, SC 29631.
