Mr. Charles Edward "Coke" Acker, Sr., 88, of 400 Ramsey Road in Anderson, SC, passed away on Monday, January 30, 2017 at his home.  He was a member of Zion Church of God Holiness and retired from Anderson (Kroger) Bakery.  He was also an United States Army Veteran.

He is survived by his three daughters, Claudia Bonita Young, Carmen Valencia Acker, and Maria Louise Blackwell; four sons, Crayton Patrick Acker, Charles Edward Acker, Jr., Timothy Edwin Acker, and Bryant Smith Acker; granddaughter reared in the home, Kellie Acker Lewis; twelve grandchildren, twenty-seven great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.  Charles was the last survivor of his immediate family. 

He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudia Louise Smith Acker; and his mother, Lorene Acker Gilliard.

The funeral service will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 4, 2017 at Zion Church of God Holiness (211 Daniel Street Anderson, SC).  The interment will follow at Westview Cemetery.
